A luxury hotel situated in the middle of the New York City Financial District, the Beekman has created an oasis amid the chaos of Wall Street. I found myself in the city for a quick 24 hours last week and was looking forward to my stay (even more than I want to admit). Recently, the Beekman has graced the covers of Travel & Leisure and made numerous appearances in other travel publications.
As soon as you enter through into the atrium of the hotel, you’ll be whisked back in time. In fact, Edgar Allan Poe published his paper, the Broadway Journal, on this site. Take a look around and notice little nodes to him throughout the hotel.
If the decor isn’t enough, just wait until you’ve found a seat in the bar. With a menu created by Tom Colicchio, the food is worth a visit alone. And don’t forget to take a look up while sipping a cocktail.
Whether your in the city for a quick visit for work, a weekend with friends, or your first time in the Big Apple, the Beekman is the place to unwind after a long day in the city.
